Billy Strings – October 14th – Mission Ballroom

For many fans in attendance, it had been about 18 months since they had purchased their tickets to this show so what better way to kick things off than by having the man himself, Mr. Billy Strings, open this mammoth four night run by taking the stage alone and delivering a mesmerizing take on “Guitar Peace” from his stellar Home album. This may have been the first night of a four night run, but it was by no means a warm-up. This band is firing on all cylinders right now.

Dropkick Murphys & Rancid – October 1st – Mission Ballroom (Outside)

Seven-inch split albums were originally done on vinyl, with music from one artist on one side of the record and music from a second artist on the opposite side. Since the early 1980s, the format has been used widely by independent record labels and punk bands. Friday nights “Boston to Berkeley II” tour had the same benefits of a split EP.

Sasha & John Digweed – September 25th – ReelWorks Denver

It was like a trip back in time on Saturday night at ReelWorks Denver where Whirling Dervish Productions presented the seminal electronic duo Sasha & John Digweed. From the time they broke in the mid-90’s, these two pioneered the sound of Progressive House & Trance music and it was all on display as they dazzled the crowd with a monster four hour set of expertly curated tracks that had the massive crowd dancing till the stroke of 2am.
