Goose made their triumphant return to Denver with a two night stand at the Mission Ballroom this past Sunday and Monday. While these are tough nights for shows, the incredible momentum this band has propelled each night to a sell-out. While there are some who question Goose’s staying power as a premiere band on the scene, these two shows did a lot to shut those folks up as Rick Miratonda and company dropped four sets of music that ranged from the intergalactic funk of “Earthling or Alien?” to the sultry “Slow Ready” alongside covers like The Moody Blues “Nights In White Satin,” Bon Iver’s “AUATC,” and Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.” Both nights also featured massive jam’s like night one’s “Wysteria Lane,” a huge “Arrow” to open night two, and the sought after “Factory Fiction” as the final song of the run. What a pair of shows! Can’t wait to see this band on The Rocks!
